Flying Snakes
Flying snakes
are an uncommon creature even where they are
most often found, deep in the jungles and untouched forests. The
brightly scaled creature floats on thin rainbow-hued wings. They spit
tiny sparks when agitated or ready to feed. They eat fruit, amazing
amounts of fresh wet fruit. They secrete a tiny injection of acidic
venom that dissolves the flesh of the fruit, but is a small enough
amount to have little effect on true flesh.
The snakes measure around 15' long when full grown, but
take decades to reach that size. They weigh around 40 tp 45 pounds at
full size and eat five times their body weight in fruit each day. They
never attack unless directly threatened, but when they do fight it is
with incredibly quick reflexes and several surprises.
The flying snakes are able to literally spit sparks of
electricity at their attackers, every couple of minutes. Their bite
also injects their venom which quickly begins to dissolve flesh.
Though very rarely is the flying snake seen, it is prized
by many wizards for it's properties. It makes a great ingredient to
many potions and items, including those that involve lightning, flight,
poison, and bright colors. Due to it's popularity as prey, the flying
snake is seldom seen by intelligent creatures. If treated properly, and
fed regularly, the flying serpent makes a wonderful and very loyal
ally. It bonds with any creature that feeds it and will remain with a
person as long as they are near a food supply.

Greenwolves
Greenwolves,
also known as jungle wolves, are
green-haired with very fine fur. They have thinned their hair and
require a
warm clime to survive. They have adapted to their jungle and tropical
forest environments to the extreme and are unable to relocate. The
greenwolves are pack animals and follow the alpha female's lead in all
things. Though pups are prized among intelligent races due to their
incredible intelligence and ability to learn, greenwolves are
notoriously difficult to keep. Their wild nature finds an outlet, or
they return to their fellows.
Feared as one of the deadliest predators in their regions,
the greenwolves have no real natural enemies, though their forays into
settled lands have caused their numbers to dwindle. They eat rodents,
small mammals, and when they hunt as a pack, they bring down large
mammals such as deer, elk, and livestock. Greenwolves are very
intelligent and able to avoid most traps and free themselves from any
but the most well-built and designed.
When found as pups and highly trained, greenwolf packs are
unquestioningly loyal and untiring trackers. Many hunters have sought
to own such hunting packs and fell victim to the wolves when they were
weak. Proper training avoids any turning against their handler, but
they are wild creatures at heart. Woe to the trainer that gets in
between them and their freedom.
